Teenagers And Their Fashionable Jewellery

Last night there was a programme on the tv about how women style themselves.

I personally feel we are all individuals and hate to follow any fashion trends.I am my own person and if people don’t like what I am wearing then that’s their lookout and not mine.  I’m not going to rush to the shops to buy the clothes just because so and so is wearing them.

However, my teenage daughter loves to follow the latest trends and her favourite teen at the moment is Pixie Lott.It does strike me as strange that even though Pixie is only a few years old than my teenage daughter, she has already achieved so much.it’s hard to believe that one minute they are just a little girl and then before you notice the transformation they are a huge pop star.

Currently my daughter and her friends are absolutely obsessed with any sort of silver jewellery.   Her dressing table is absolutely crammed full of silver necklaces and silver bracelets.  Most of it she will never wear, but she buys it just the same because her favourite pop star is wearing it.

It is amazing how many of these pop stars start out their careers singing a few songs, then a few years later low and behold they bring out their own fashion ranges and so our teenagers still continue to buy their products.

Naturally their managers are very money orientated and I suppose they know their clients only have a short shelf life, so try to make the very most out of them.

Mind you, saying all that, I can remember the days when I was a teenager and I got to go and see my favourite band – Adam and The Ants. They were absolutely brilliant live and for weeks and weeks I pestered my parents to buy me a jacket just like the one that Adam had.I came so close to my dad buying me one, but mum was a real spoil sport and put her foot down at the last minute. So perhaps things aren’t really that different, it’s just that I have finally grown up!!
